At least six people, including two policemen, were injured when Rajendra Mahato-led National Liberation Movement activists clashed with police in Bhadrakali in the national capital in front of the Singhdarbar Secretariat on Saturday, police said.

Two policemen and four NLM cadres were injured when police lathicharged on agitators who were trying to protest in a restricted area in Kathmandu.

During the anti-government protest, 12 NLM cadres were also arrested from the incident site. Nepal Police spokesperson Nabaraj Adhikari said that when the protesters tried to enter the restricted area, the police had to use force.
