with college football With the season starting this Saturday, now is the time to finalize your future bets before the start of the game.
That doesn’t mean one of the SEC powerhouses won’t be the last team standing at NRG Stadium in Houston on January 8th. I don’t like their oddities. My objective was to find value bets and I rounded up regular season win totals, a CFP prop and a 20-1 Heisman Trophy pop.
Here are three futuristic bets to sharpen your pecking order.
Buffalo over 6 wins
(+110 on BetMGM)
The Bulls have quietly recruited one of the most talented classes over the past two seasons under third-year head coach Maurice Lingqvist. And in the always disappointing Mac, more than half the battle is talent.
The defense is expected to have a lot of stability and a better offense thanks to the quarterback cole snyder moving from rutgers, Eight games into this season my numbers favor Buffalo, making the “over” 6 a must play.
Please shop around, as there are some 6.5’s on the market.
PICK: University at Buffalo to win more than 6 games
Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh suspended for three games to start season
Joel Klatt talks about Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh’s self-imposed three-game suspension to begin the 2023 season.
Michigan CFP makes the playoffs
(+125 on FanDuel)
DraftKings is doing the deal with Michigan at even money (+100), so please get the best numbers. For the first time in a long time, the Wolverines have been seeded in every regular season game. Obviously, he has to take care of business and protect his home, but there’s a lot to like about Jim Harbaugh’s offense.
starting quarterback JJ McCarthy is back, like top running backs Black Choir And Donovan Edwards, Maize and Neela also return two of their top three receivers, and they will start five — count them, five — seniors on the offensive line. If the opposing teams are unable to stop the play in progress, fuhgedbaudit.
Rather than play tough with Georgia (-270) or Alabama (-120) to earn a berth, I’ll take the extra price on Harbaugh’s best team ever.
Pick: University of Michigan will create CFP
Marvin Harrison Jr. won the Heisman Trophy
(20-1 and Superbook)
I know, I know – a quarterback probably wins the Heisman.
But if you think outside the box and deliver what the best wide receiver in college football can do, you will be richly rewarded. Harrison Jr. made 77 passes for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns last season. Glass.
Conventional wisdom might tell you that Harrison’s numbers will decline. CJ Stroud Off to the NFL, but I’ll face the scary prospect that Harrison might get even better this season. His separation skills are superhuman and I don’t think 100 catches and 20 touchdowns is impossible.
Ohio State Harrison Jr. needs to be fed, and if the Buckeyes don’t overthink it, Harrison can win the Heisman and then go No. 1 overall.
Pick: Marvin Harrison Jr. will win the Heisman Trophy
