While the war in Ukraine has nothing to do with the fires on the island of Maui, the two incidents have some similarities – that is, in each case the actions (or inaction) of the relevant government officials made the massacre possible. This part is divided into two parts – Part I is a podcast I participated in and was hosted by DD (formerly Donbass Devushka), Part II is the incredible emails I received today in Hawaii from people who Read my latest article on Hawaii government collusion. In deaths and in a feeble attempt to hide his guilt.

Here’s part two of a podcast with DD Geopolitics – I discuss US military capabilities and de-industrialization:

Then there’s Maui. I’ll let the authors of the email speak for themselves. Hawaii survivors are furious and are demanding accountability:

Comments: I live on Maui. We know that our officials are lying.

Witnesses and media have confirmed that the county emergency manager intentionally did not sound the disaster warning siren in Lahaina. Similarly, the MPD intentionally blocked roads to keep people inside the city of Lahaina! People were ordered to “shelter in place”

The death toll currently stands at 111, but more than 1,000 are still missing.

Hawaii’s biggest crime scene is being whitewashed by politicians congratulating themselves on what a good job they’ve done at controlling and maintaining civil order.

First off, thanks for all the great info and analysis you’re providing – this is one of the first news sites I visit every day.
I live in Maui and have worked for state, federal and local governments for almost 20 years. I’ve been a Director of Public Works, I have a Master’s degree in Public Administration (so I’m at least qualified to sweep…) and have worked for 20 years as an investigator in both the private and public sectors . I currently work for the State of Hawaii as an Investigator. I can tell you the truth that the reaction here is no less than a circus. In the emergency management training I attended (albeit many years ago) we were told that there should be one person in charge and directing resources when an emergency is declared. Here, we didn’t see that — and I think the results show that. We are being told that around 1,500 people are missing but your source is saying 5,000. The loss of life is being taken lightly; “We expect that number to grow” is all we really hear but I wouldn’t be surprised if there are 500+. They have found 100 or so carcasses so far and have searched about 25-30% of the area (about 20 dead dogs are on the spot). Lots of conspiracy theories are being spread – from using DEW/microwaves to start the fire, to Oprah and other wealthy people intentionally starting the fire to grab the land, to the notion that it was all a conspiracy to destroy Maui. being done for. So it can be recreated in AI / 15 minutes of city paradise. After working for the government for so long, I just tell people that such schemes may sound good on paper, but the government is so incompetent that they can never materialise.
If you are interested, I think one of your articles on how to evaluate information will be useful to many.
Again, many thanks for your efforts – your work is really appreciated and absolutely vital in our current environment.

Comments: Hi Larry,

I just read your article about Maui. You are quick to answer. Here are some hearsay things I’ve found (I live in the Kihei/Velia area). A good friend told me she saw a firefighter at Costco a few days after the fire. He mentioned that the death toll is close to 50 now. He told her that the firefighters had already used 400 body bags they had available. He said the death toll has been reported as very low.

Last Saturday afternoon my wife and I went to the Humane Society (she volunteers there) and joined about 100 people preparing food bags etc. for displaced people with pets. I was working with a young guy loading trucks and during a break he told me he was a police officer stationed at Haleakalā and had been brought down to help find bodies in the wreckage of Lahaina Was. He told me that wherever one stepped there were charred remains of bodies, and in his opinion the death toll was very low.

Unrestricted comments, but this may help you with the fact-finding. May you get success This is a terrible thing that has happened.

Comments: Your article about the Lahaina fire is very accurate. I lived in Lahaina from 2003-2015. I traveled there regularly till 2019. I have many friends there, and I am in contact with many of them. This disaster was 50+ years in the making. This was 100% preventable, but the corruption and ineptitude was so great that nothing was done. This is the result. Why this happened and the terrible county and state response needs to come out. I can provide more details to help you write more articles.
Please let me know if you would like more information.

Comments: Hey Larry,

Not only are the police lying about everything in Maui, but the Maui police are now arresting all witnesses to the fire. They are all in the deep state, and should be shot on sight.

NOTES: The Red Cross is giving out numbers to missing family members through the news as if you were reaching Maui with the Maui area code 808-244-0051 and 808-734-2101 either back to you Q/General Info PUT THE RED CROSS ON / THEY DO NOT HAVE CONTACT INFORMATION FOR THE RED CROSS IN MAUI OR THEY GIVE YOU A NUMBER THEY HAVE RECENTLY DISCONNECTED!!!!!
I’m scared!
I worked for the Red Cross during 9/11…we never did stuff like this!
Now we need Red Cross and this is what they are doing???
Our missing family member is Paul XXXXX and we are unable to locate him to send him money, clothing, food and/or plane tickets to get him off the island.
Our hands are tied… We are doing everything we can and we are blocked.
This is unrealistic / like a third world country disaster!

The failure of local and state government in Hawaii runs deep and survivors are seething with anger. I personally do not give much credence to the allegation that the fire at Lahaina was started by a directed energy weapon. The combination of gusty winds and fragile power lines is the most likely cause of the massive fire.

What we have here is a complete failure of the emergency response system. It was a failure to detect the serious nature of the threat. It was a failure to inform residents of the need to flee. There was a failure to immediately summon state and federal resources to deal with this tragedy. I will note that my main source on Maui highly praises the work done by FEMA in searching the wreck and recovering the remains. His assessment of the airport officials’ response is scathing and includes the use of several of the seven words you can’t say on television.

Regardless of how the fire started, the massive casualties were caused by the incredibly stupid order to “shelter in place”. The person or persons responsible for this should be criminally prosecuted and put in jail. The last thing you should do in the face of any wildfire is to stay where you are. You run like hell is after you (because it is). Get out if you can.

My source in Hawaii describes scenes lifted from Dante’s Inferno. The entire family was using a bathtub filled with water in the bathroom of their house to seek shelter. Everything was burnt beyond recognition. When firefighters uncover these gruesome remains, they begin to vomit. The rescuers involved in this gruesome recovery operation would likely be casualties of post-traumatic stress.

And Joe Biden thinks $700 could ease anger among survivors while he sends billions of dollars to Ukraine. think again.
