The VP of the Model Risk Governance Platform (“MRG Platform”) is a member of the Lead Model Risk Management team that oversees model risk across State Street. The incumbent will be responsible for the design, maintenance and support of the MRG platform, systems or records for all model risk governance and control activities including inventory, validation, ongoing monitoring, implementation, quality assurance, risk reporting etc.

primary responsibilities:

  • Lead activities related to the design, maintenance and support of the MRM platform, enhance existing workflow design and assist in expanding the capabilities of the technology solution
  • Collaborate with IT business partners in the creation and maintenance of software lifecycle deliverables, including requirements definition, design, construction, and testing of new and enhanced functionality
  • Work with model risk governance team in designing and automating model risk monitoring reports and validation process, and contribute to reporting strategy and design
  • Managing a team of 4-5 employees globally in designing, building and maintaining user management and user access control systems for the MRM platform
  • Working with functional owners to maintain and enhance source information systems
  • ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Participating in user training/support to help drive adoption of report and analysis tools among report users

Ability

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related fields with 3+ years of work experience in analytics and/or computing
  • 3+ years of management experience, demonstrating a proven track record in project management and people management
  • 3+ years of experience in programming using scripting languages ​​such as XML and SAS and/or SQL

  • Experience with SAS model risk management platform is a big plus.

salary range:
$110,000 – $185,000 annually
The limits quoted above apply to the role in the specified primary location. In case the candidate will eventually work outside the above primary location, the applicable limit may vary.
