‘Rich Men North of Richmond’ makes a big splash
Fox News reported that after leaving radio wv youtube channel Just a week earlier, “Rich Men North of Richmond” managed to unseat “Try That in a Small Town”, which had held the top spot on the country charts for several weeks.
Anthony uses the lyrics “Rich Men North of Richmond” to criticize high taxes and out of touch politicians who “only want absolute control.” He then compares starving “people on the street” to “fat” freeloaders who abuse the welfare system, before lamenting rising suicide rate among young American men.
Anthony sings, “Oh my god, if you’re 5 foot 3 and weigh 300 pounds, don’t pay taxes for your bag of Fudge Rounds.” “Young people are burying themselves six feet into the ground because this country just keeps on kicking them down.”
“These rich people north of Richmond / Lord knows they all just want to have absolute control / Want to know what you think / Want to know what you do / And they don’t think you know, but I know you do,” he later adds. “‘Cause your dollar ain’t s***, and it’s infinitely taxed / ‘Cause rich people north of Richmond.”
The song has been viewed over 15 million times on YouTube as of this writing, and social media users have made it clear they can’t get enough of it.
“I’m a 39 year old Iraqi vet and construction worker struggling like a dog to take care of two kids and run a farm when I’m not working 11 hour days,” wrote one user. “It hit so hard today I had to stop and tear apart my old Peterbilt. Preach brother.

History of Anthony
Conservative influencer Jason Howerton took to Twitter to tell the world more about Anthony’s background and what exactly inspired him to write this song.
“In the past, Oliver struggled with mental health and alcohol addiction. About a month ago, in the depths of despair, Howerton wrote, Oliver got down on his knees and began to cry. “Although he was not a religious man, that night he promised God that he would be at peace if he would help him fulfill his dream.”
He further added, “Oliver had been sober for about 30 days when someone approached him and asked him to come record a song for his YouTube channel.” “That song was ‘Rich Men North of Richmond.’ Within days the song went viral on social media.
The song is called “Rich Men North of Richmond”. It has been viewed millions of times.

‘Try it in a small town’
As for Aldean, their anti-awakening anthem “Try That in a Small Town” remains a huge success. The song also appealed to conservatives, as they used it to point out that the bullshit currently happening in liberal-ruled cities across the country would not spread to small-town America.

In the end, it says everything that these two political anthems are topping the country music charts on iTunes right now. Liberals’ voices may be the loudest at times, but there is a silent majority in this country that really has a lot to say, and the Left shouldn’t be surprised if it comes back to haunt them during next year’s election cycle. comes
